Terms and Conditions
Tape Recorder is a small UK family run firm completely focused on your total
satisfaction. If you have any suggestions or comments please email us

Our telephone number is usually available 9:30 - 18:00 Monday -
Friday, holidays excepted and at other times messages can be left. We will endeavour to
return your call as soon as possible.
If you have a complaint or other concern, please call us, or email
us from our contacts page. Should you correspond with us via email we
will endeavour to deal with your concern as soon as possible. All matters will be
dealt with in the strictest confidence.
We accept payment via most credit and
debit cards or by cheque. Card payment will enable us to ship your
goods as soon as authorisation has been obtained from the card issuer -
usually on the same working day if your order is received before 14.00
Making a purchase is simple. Just browse our website, click on any
items you wish to buy or use the order form on our contacts page and
put them into the shopping basket. After you have finished your
selection, click on "Go To Payments" and you will be asked
for the details that we require to complete the transaction.
Alternatively, we will gladly take your order by telephone on
normal working days 9:30 - 18:00.
If you wish to pay by cheque or bank transfer, please contact us
for payment and shipping details and we will advise the total cost.
Upon receipt of your cleared payment, your goods will be dispatched
via the chosen delivery option.
You have the right to cancel your order within 7 days for a full
refund less carriage costs and providing the goods are unused in
Goods remain the property of Tape Recorder until full cleared
payment is received.
Standard Delivery to UK mainland is
included in all prices unless otherwise displayed. Standard Delivery
is 3 - 5 working days from the working day the order was
Next Working Day Delivery to mainland UK is £1.99 up to £25.00, £5.99 up to
£100.00 and £11.99 over £100.00. Next Working Day Delivery is timed from the working day
the order was received. Working days
are Monday - Friday, holidays excepted. Orders received up to 14:00
will usually be processed that working day.
Non-mainland UK destinations are
subject to different delivery charges and timing. Please contact us
for details. Our services are UK
only as we do not have any export facilities.
We will try to reduce the shipping
charge to reflect very low weight/value orders or high volume orders
whenever possible. We reserve the right to manually reduce the
carriage charge accordingly on your final invoice when we feel that
this condition is met.
The courier will require a signature
for proof of delivery, so please make sure someone will be in to accept
If your items are in stock and when
funds have been cleared, we will dispatch your order right away. We
will send your order via the chosen option, however we cannot guarantee
the efficiency of this external service which is beyond our control.
We can usually track your order in cases of difficulty.
If your item is not in stock, we will
back order it for you. You will always be contacted with the option to
cancel if you would rather not wait.
We are not registered for VAT and no
VAT is therefore chargeable on any prices displayed.

When paying via credit and debit card,
all credit card numbers are encrypted in the software when the order
is placed using 128 bit encryption.
We know of no documented cases of credit card fraud using our
electronic transaction purchase system over the internet.
We always check the authenticity of credit card and address
information supplied to us and reserve the right to refuse orders at
We have a minimum order of £9.99 including shipping, when
using credit or debit cards.
We guarantee your satisfaction. All
products carry the full manufacturer's warranty.
All products, except secondhand and ex-demo goods, leave our
premises as new and in full working order. Should you find the goods
faulty within 7 days from the date of purchase we will arrange
collection of the faulty goods and upon receipt, we will ship out a
replacement or offer a refund. Please do not return faulty goods
without first contacting us to obtain authorisation. Any goods
returned for repair or replacement must be sent in the original
condition, in all the original packaging and must include all
accessories, cables and instruction manuals.
Should any item of equipment fail through normal wear and tear
during the guarantee period, Tape Recorder will repair the unit
free of charge and return it to the customer carriage paid. It is the
responsibility of the customer to ship the faulty unit to our repair
centre at the customer's expense. Tape Recorder will not be
liable for goods in transit from the customer to our repair centre.
This does not affect your statutory rights as a consumer.

only. This information, which is collected lawfully and in accordance
with the Data Protection Act 1998, is the basic information that is
vital to ensure correct selection and dispatch of the goods and
services you have ordered.
No third parties collect information on our behalf. Tape Recorder does not disclose customer's information to third parties.
Tape Recorder does not use information given during ordering
to enable us to send mass marketing material to the customer.
